SUBMITTING TO RAVE THEATER FESTIVAL<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

This year\u2019s festival will run July 24-August 9.<\/span><\/h2>\n

We believe the world is a better place if there\u2019s more theater in it. So we created a platform for more theater productions to be produced.<\/span><\/p>\n

We will be selecting roughly 25 plays, musicals, multimedia and cross-disciplinary projects, and family shows, which will each receive up to five performances at one of our partner theaters.<\/span><\/p>\n

All Rave Theater Festival participants will receive:<\/span><\/h3>\n

  • Theater space for up to 5 performances over the course of the 3-week festival, with the possibility of extension<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Basic lighting and sound equipment<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Front of house staff<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Tech rehearsal<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Technical director<\/span><\/li>\n
  • A marketing and press workshop<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Ticketing platform and box office management<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Recommendations of professional collaborators to help complete your team, including creatives, press or marketing offices, dramaturges, or technical staff<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Complimentary tickets to attend other festival shows on a space available basis<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    OUR SUBMISSIONS PROCESS<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n
      \n
    • All submissions must now be received by\u00a0March 1st, 2020 by midnight<\/strong>\u00a0for consideration for our July 2020 festival.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Our submission process is aimed at discovering diverse new shows with the highest caliber of writing and creativity. Our team of application readers will read
      all script submissions blind to ensure that the merits of each script are evaluated on the writing and concept alone, and not influenced by any other factors
      such as the author\u2019s institutional affiliation, reputation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, abilities, age, sexual preference or orientation. The top scoring submissions will then advance to our jury of industry professionals, who will read the script and consider the application as a whole.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Finalists will be notified via email the week of March 23rd, 2020. Notices of acceptance will be emailed out the week of March 30, 2020. The festival
      participation fee of $995 and signed participants\u2019 agreement is due no later than April 10, 2020.<\/span><\/li>\n
